We are proud to announce that Upside Down has been nominated for the NME Awards 2012 in the Best Music Film category, alongside films from the Libertines, Foo Fighters, George Harrison and Kings Of Leon. The Painted Word – Upside Down at the 100 Club…….

We are proud to announce the first of a monthly residency at London’s legendary 100 Club . The series, entitled ‘Upside Down Presents’ , kicks off on Tues Sept 13th and features a screening of the film followed by a live show by the Television Personalities, the band who Alan cites as his inspiration in starting a label. Also appearing is one of Creation’s great early success stories, the Jazz Butcher. There will be a DJ set by Mark Gardener to round off what will be a very special night, all the more so since the venue was where much of ‘Upside Down’ was filmed. Link to tickets for the event here. Honour and pleasure to do our first tastemaker screenings in the USA. Thanks to everyone who showed up at the Mondrian in Los Angeles, the Clift in San Francisco and the Tribeca Grand in New York. Mark Gardener played solo gigs on the West Coast and DJ’ed in NYC. Check the photos from LA and SF.

Upside Down hit the airwaves April 20th as the focus of Jo Whiley’s Radio 2 show. Alan McGee did the honours as the biggest radio station in Europe ran through a neat selection of Creation classics. To hear it check it out here.. (UK only)

Upside Down hit the Isle of Lewis off the North West coast of Scotland on Wednesday 13th April for the opening slot at the Celtic Media Festival, with the afteshow in The Jaeger Room featuring a DJ set by Alan McGee and live sets by Mark Gardener and Willie Campbell. SXSW, Austin, Texas…..

‘Upside Down’ premiered in the USA on Thursday 17th March at the prestigious Vimeo theatre, (501 E. 4th Street, Austin, TX) in the heart of America’s largest music and film convention, SXSW. A very happy St. Patrick’s Day was had by all…thankyou for coming.

Celtic Soul Brothers indeed. After a great night in Glasgow, Dublin too was rammed to the rafters with Creation heads filling Cineworld.
